Grandparents Day – We will be celebrating Grandparents Day on Tuesday, November 24th. We need each family to send a wrapped item for Bingo prizes. Some suggestions may be: soap, cake mixes, hand soap, trinkets, or any other small items along those lines. There are still some students who have not turned in their permission slip on how to get home that day. I have enclosed another form in your folders for those students who need one.

Snacks for Grandparents Day – We need your help to provide snacks for that day. If your last name ends with A-H, please send 2 dozen cookies. If your last name ends with K-Z, please send 2 gallons of fruit punch. If you would be able to help with refreshments that afternoon, please contact Stacy Marshall at 545-4255.

Picture Retakes – Picture retakes will be on Friday, November 20th. We will also be taking volleyball, boys’ basketball, cheerleading, and Student Council pictures that day.

Cheerleading Mini Clinic – The cheerleaders will be holding a clinic for any of our future Titan cheerleaders. If your child signed up, they will need to stay after school on Wednesday and Thursday, November 18th and 19th until 4:30. All those who participate will help us cheer at our home game against Kelso on Sunday, November 22nd at 2:00.

SCRIP Card Weekend – This weekend will be our next weekend to sell SCRIP Cards after all Masses. If we do not have a card that someone would like, please tell them that we will be happy to order it for them. You will find a work list to sell SCRIP cards for the next few weekends. You will notice that several volunteers are still needed. This is an easy job, if you can help please call Gera LeGrand. Thank you so much for your help with this project. Along with the SCRIP cards we will also have the Schnucks e-Scrip cards. They cost nothing, just hand them out to anyone who would like one. If we run out please take down the person’s name and address and I will get one sent to them.

No Busses – Kelly does not have school on Wednesday, November 25, therefore there will be no busses that day. We will dismiss at 12:00 that day, and there will be no after school care.

No After School Care – There will be no after school care on Tuesday, November 24th after grandparents day, or Friday December 4th, due to setting up for the Treasure Sale.

Food for the Needy – We will be collecting canned food items at church the week of Thanksgiving. We are asking that each child have at least one item to bring to church on Wednesday, November 25th.   Sister Lucille from the food bank by St. Mary’s in Cape will be here to collect the food items. Our goal is to fill her trunk with canned food items. We want to show our kindness and our sense of wanting to help and give to those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We have many things to be thankful for, sharing with those less fortunate than ourselves is a wonderful way to spread God’s loving spirit.

Little Caesar’s Pizza Orders – Pizza orders will be here Thursday, November 19th. They must be picked up between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Preschool – We have received some books for the preschool from friends of St. Denis School, thank you! If you have any toys, books, or furniture that you would like to donate to the preschool, we would love to have them.

Winter Wonderland Raffle – Look in your folders for tickets for the raffle. There is one set for each student that we would like you to sell. One ticket for $1.00 or ten tickets for $5.00. The proceeds will be going to St. Jude Children’s hospital. Remember how fortunate we are to have healthy children! Please help out with this fundraiser.

Help Bail Me Out – That’s right I am going to jail for a good cause. Mrs. Powers will be locked up for MDA on December 9th. You will find a flyer in your folder that explains how you can help to bail me out.  I appreciate your generosity in helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

Adam McGee Memorial Walk – Please read the enclosed information about this walk. Adam was in 5th grade at Kelly when he passed away on Easter morning. They have taken a life changing event and are trying to make good things happen.

Boys’ Basketball – The boys play their next game on Friday, November 20th here against the Oran 2 team at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday November 22nd the boys play Kelso here at
2:00 p.m. where you can also see our little cheerleaders in action.
